Building a better way for Nepalese people to connect in the UK
We're on a mission to help the Nepalese community in the UK find resources, connect with each other, and build a stronger community.
From Facebook groups to a dedicated platform
Kaam Kotha was born from a simple observation: despite being a vibrant and growing community, Nepalese people in the UK often struggled to find relevant information, connect with each other, and access resources specific to their needs.
Our founders, who experienced these challenges firsthand after moving to the UK, recognized that while the community was active and supportive, the tools being used to communicate and share information were not designed for their unique requirements.
1The Challenge
For years, Facebook groups have been the primary platform for Nepalese individuals in the UK to connect, share information about rooms, jobs, and events, and seek advice. While these groups served a purpose, they came with significant limitations:
Information Overload
Posts quickly got buried under newer content, making it difficult to find relevant information when needed.
Disorganization
With no proper categorization, finding specific resources like housing or job opportunities became a time-consuming task.
2Our Solution
Inspired by platforms like Reddit that excel at organizing discussions by topics, we created Kaam Kotha as a dedicated space for Nepalese communities abroad.
A forum-like platform designed specifically for the Nepalese community
Our app provides a structured, easy-to-navigate platform where users can:
- Find information categorized by specific needs (housing, jobs, events)
- Engage in both public discussions and private conversations
- Search for specific resources with powerful filtering options
- Connect with businesses and services catering to the Nepalese community

Connecting Nepalese communities worldwide
Our mission is to create dedicated digital spaces where Nepalese communities around the world can easily connect, share resources, and support each other.
We believe that by providing the right tools and platform, we can help Nepalese individuals abroad navigate the challenges of living in a new country, preserve their cultural connections, and build thriving communities.
From Australia to the United Kingdom
Our journey began in 2018 with the launch of Kaam Kotha Australia, created to address the same challenges faced by the Nepalese community in Australia.
Encouraged by this success and seeing similar needs in the United Kingdom, we expanded our mission by launching Kaam Kotha UK, bringing our proven community-building approach to serve Nepalese individuals across the UK.
